There seems to be something here in Dublin writers when it comes to writing about vampires. We had Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu with his book, Carmilla. This was followed twenty-five years later with Dracula, by Bram Stoker another Dublin man. Now I’m following behind, not in the same league as them, but having a go. My book, The Sad Windows is not just a story that involves a vampire, it’s also a tale of what’s going in inside us. It’s a story of what has brought us to where we are, and how we feel in ourselves. Loss, loneliness the what if in life.
It’s also a tale about the strength of love and how blind it can it and how blind people can be if they don’t take it when it comes along.
